A policeman was killed in a road accident at Harishpur in Natore district town on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Bishnupado, sub-inspector of Natore Court Police, reports United News of Bangladesh ( UNB).
Abdul Matin, officer-in-charge of Natore Police Station, said the accident took place around 7 am when a bus knocked down Bishnupado while he was walking, leaving him seriously injured.
Later, he was taken to local a hospital instantly where the duty doctors declared him as dead.
Police could not arrest the bus driver as he managed to flee the scen very quickly .
Mr. Aminur Rahman says, Bishnupado been doing duty in the court for more than a year. He also says, after the post-mortem his dead-body will be sent to Bogura, the permanent residence of him.
